Most of the ones you see if not all have been painted. There are a few DIY's floating around here if you search for them. To sum it up you take you factory HL's throw them in the oven to heat up the sealant/glue which lets you pull the lens away from the housing allowing them to be painted. The fogging issue is easily solved with Meg. PlastX or Mothers Plastic Polish.

There a good idea if you are going to do a projector retro and can't deal with the down time without lights.

I am looking for a temporary lighting solution while I take my stock HIDs out to paint and install projectors. You mention the ebay ones will not work...
Is it because the HID harness will not plug into the halogen housing? Or is it because they are only available for the 03-04? I looked on ebay for 05-06 sedan lights to use meanwhile but they are rare and when they do come up they are pricey...there's ONE on there right now for a BIN of $200 - and it has broken tab! That's a bit too much when I can buy a pair for less than that.

Any ideas you could provide? Thanks for your input!
