So I ordered the stock rear spoiler a while back for like $70 (couldn't pass it up) and finally had time to paint it and install it this past weekend.

I'm not sure if anyone else has done this, but I was surprised to see that there were no predetermined holes in my trunk for the spoiler (I have an '04 sedan)? It looked like the trunk had the correct holes for the coupe wing, but not the sedan wing.

It was kind of weird and I ended up having to drill some holes where I didn't want to. Either way, the wing looks nice, and was a great buy (difference to me is like night and day).

I am just curious to see if anyone else ran into this problem with the install and what they did about it.

 

Just make sure you get the uprated shocks for the trunk due to the added weight.

 

I wish my sedan didn't have the OEM wing. Anyone know how many holes are in the trunk from the wing? I've also heard there are clips as well?

 

It seems like there are four holes, but I'm not 100% on that. You could either remove it and have the holes filled and trunk repainted, or you could find someone on here who would be willing to trade you their trunk for yours.

 

I want to buy a trunk outright with a wing on it.


SOme part of me thinks once i get the wing on there, i'll hate it and want it off.

I have my friends at the local wrecking yards and body shops keeping an eye out for me for a trunk w/wing coming through.
