Compression Rods
Hi,
I am experiencing the symptoms of bad compression rods on my '03 Sedan. My question is this..
From what year did Nissan begin using the "new" and "revised" compression rods on the sedan?
These are the part numbers of the rods:
Right side: 54468-AC70F
Left side: 54469-AC70F
The reason I am asking is because my mechanic is trying to source some used ones and he needs to know what year to ask for.
Thanks...

I just called the dealership. They do not replace the bushings, just the entire compression rod.
So back to my original question, just rephrased to get to what I'm getting at....
If I purchase a set of used control arms for a 2006 G35 Sedan, will they be the revised rods, or the same defective POS rods?
Thanks...

You can replace just the bushings. Simply take off the compression rods, use a hydraulic jack and press the old out and the new in. Riverside Infiniti sells the bushings. So does www.infinitipartsonline.com which is Infiniti of Peoria.
