Front Amber Lights In Headlight Housing 03/04 Sedan

I was driving last night and came across an 05/06 Sedan that had it's headlights on. I noticed that the amber lights were also lit. In my 04.5 the amber lights are not lit when the headlights are on. It only blinks with the turn signal. Is this normal for the 03/04 sedans?

I really liked the amber light being lit with the headlights. Has anyone else noticed this and is there anything that can be done to change them?

Yes, it's how all 05/06's are.

The 03/04's have the "city" lights instead. In 05 they ditched the city light and pue a dual filament bulb in the turn signal and had the low filament act as a parking lamp.

Can you modfiy the headlight? Prob. You'd have to install a dual filament bulb in the socket and then rewire so that the city light power powers the turn signal low filament instead.

When it's dusk out i always drive around with my parking lights on. I don't really like using headlights until it's dark. Anyway it's a nice aggressive look on my OB sedan with the amber signals lit up.

Thanks! I searched all over and couldn't find an answer. While I like the amber lights I do like my city lights better.

I was not aware that the city lights were done away with in 05.

Actually I've seen many 03/04 sedans with the amber light lit with headlight on. I thought it might be the difference between 6MT and 5AT, or just the signal light bulb itself. If anyone ever figure this out please confirm.

Bump for an old thread. Does anyone know how to rewire the lights on a 03.5 sedan to make the amber lights on instead of the city lights? I like the look of the amber lights when they are on, as compared to the city lights.

You'll need to change more than just the bulb
