I did a search and found threads dealing with putting mud guards on but none discussed taking them off. So I hope this isn't a re-post. Sorry if it is.

The sedan I'm thinking about buying has all the options I want but one: mud guards. I asked the dealer if they can be taken off without damage to the car or leaving any visible holes, and he didn't know the answer. Has anyone taken the mud guards off? If so, did any damage occur or are there any holes showing?

Oh, man. Why wouldn't you want the mud guards? They completely match the underside of the car, giving it a nice look and they cost next to nothing. If you're not getting the spoiler, you should get that too. Check these out.....

yes, you can remove the mud guards without leaving any holes. there are one or two screws on the sides of the guards inside the wheel well. u can see them and easily feel them if you just run your finger along the side of the guards. also, there is one screw on the bottom of each guard that screws into the bottom of the sills. so, 2 or 3 screws for each guard, sorry, i dont know exactly 2 or 3 screws, but nonetheless, they should be easy to find. also, if you want to take them off, a jack is reccomended. but, aesthetically, i wouldn't take them off, i like the way they look, without the nismo bodykit, it makes the side sills a lot less plain

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, I absolutely love it. Desert Platinum is an awesome color when it's shined up - especially at night. You'll love the mud guards. A very cheap and nice bottom treatment.
