My rear bumper w/ aero kit got hit

It happened on Father's day weekend, the girl behind me jumped the gun at the light and hit me . My bumper's got some scratch and paint chip at the impact area, and my aero rear lip also got some dents and markings but no paint chip. Luckily nothing was cracked.

So I sent my car in for repair on her insurance. The repair on the bumper went smoothly; however the repair on the rear lip ran into some troubles. The dents were very close to the upper edge, so they had to remove the rubber strip but the strip cracked and became unrepairable. They ended up getting my rear lip replaced just because of the rubber strip. This is completely new to me, never thought the aero rear lip repair would've turned this way. Anyway just thought I'd share it here.

I guess we sedans with aero rear lip installed better watch out what's coming from behind.......

Nice manicure!

Sorry about the hit I just got mine back from the shop after a mother of all door dings was removed. Luckily I was in the car when it happened so I was able to get their insurance info too.

If it was covered by insurance the shop usually says you need new ones and charge you.

^^ At first the insurance only covered the repair, I hope they don't charge me for the new one.
