SO is there any production data at all??

Does any exist??

Seems to me like there are a TON more 03-04 sedans on here, with less 05's and even less '06's??

Or is it just because more younger drivers who would frequent these boards are scooping up the older models and the newer ones are still in the hands of people who don't even know these boards exist??

I'm just curious to the numbers? How many G's per year? How many AWD? Etc etc?

I keep seeing 6% 6-spd sedans...but 6% of what number?

I've never seen any data. (real data, not just b.s. from random posters).

The forums are most definitely full of second hand owners now. Back when the first gen G's came out this was a different place. (no offense, but its true).

A big wave to all the original owners. I custom ordered mine and waited 90 days for car to come over on the boat. Only had 4 miles on it from the test track in Tochigi

Wish I was the first owner of mine... the body of the car would have definetly been treated better.

Wannabe6MT, have you noticed any quality difference between the ones you've had or they've been pretty consistent? Also, I'm assuming you went from non rev-up to the rev-up engine, what are your impressions about that?

We had an 04 G35x, my 05 G35, and our new 08 G35xS.

IMO, the build quality went up with every change. The 2nd gen is BY FAR, the best (and my favorite lol) but mine is pretty decent. i like the aluminum with the little tweaks they did vs our 04, which was kinda... bland. Each gen just kinda got better.

Pic of all 3 the last weekend we had the 04 (sad day, that car got us on our Infiniti craze, btw, this wont be our last either lol, my next car will be another G. Gotta get atleast one 6mt)

Yeah, I'd consider another G again in the future. Hopefully Infiniti doesn't do what Acura did to the TL. My friend has the first generation TL... I like my G more but the TL is a nice car and wins over the G in some aspects, but the latest TL is just some designer going nuts.

Well, Mustang5L5, I'm an old fogey that just bought a second hand model like yours except I'm black on black and no navi. I started on a 4th gen maxima board about 2 years ago. Same as here. A lot of young kids. Just that here the kids have more money and/or more sense.

Me too, and I'm not sure about the more sense description. I've only been a member since March and the amount of immature people that are on here seems to grow by the day.

Sigh........

Blue Dram,
This board is not as bad as the Maxima board. They had a lot of kids thinking they could boost milage with hydrogen from water electrolosis. They never studied physics.

Or at least watched MythBusters.

The "Fuel Efficiency" episode was pretty funny.

It seems to me, the 2nd hand owners are more willing to experiment, (I know I am) and a lot of 1st owners are love-it-for-2-years and leave it kinda people.

I also came from the Maxima.org board. i think its a natural evolution for maxima drivers to become G35 drivers as its the sports car of the infiniti line and we're all used to the VQ series motor. I had a 99SE which my wife is driving now.
I bought my G used, but unfortunetly the previous owner did a lot of modifications to the car that he removed before selling. A full sounds system (my trunk is completely cut up and had issues with Infiniti not wanting to fix a radio problem because the wiring was all weird) he also had a two way pager alarm which he removed and there is something up with the head lights. One of the high beams is not working and when i took it to infiniti, they said that there was aftermarket work behind the headlights and would not work on them. There is also a short throw in the car which makes the shifting horrible and hard to engage.
