2004 lights are still the stacked grid...

03/04 = Grid tails
05/06 = Circle tails

 

Maybe the USDM G35s are different, but the Japanese V35s had an update in June 2004 to the series 2. So pre-June 2004 are grids, and post-June 2004 are circles.

 

Maybe, maybe not. I am not sure when they started selling the 05 cars. Could have been right on the tail end of 04....

Hasn't the Japanese v35 been in production since 01?

Yes, they were released in 2001. Strangely they were still making the R34GTR VSpec Nurs in 2002 in the same factory the V35s came out of .... I also have a 1998 R34GTT .... love my Skylines

And all of the auto's pre-June 2004 are CV-8s in Japan - whereas the series 2 have the same 5 speed auto you guys got.

 

i love your skylines too i like the amber tails but id still keep my original ones, in a quest to be different though i would get the 05/06 jdm amber ones.
