z suspension

I know that there is a search function and I have used it but can't find much on what exactly I would like to know. I am new to putting mods on cars so with that being said if there is a thread about this someone please point me in the right direction.

I would like to lower my 05 G sedan about an inch all around. I have 20" wheels around so I am not really sure if it will work on my car cause I got 8.5 with a 40 offset without contacting my fender. But anyways I saw a thread about revised z springs and something about regular z springs....

1. What is the difference, and I am under the impression this will lower about an inch all around. Correct??

2. Is there any other options out there that will lower an inch or is that the best/cheapest option??

Again I really don't know much about the car scene and if there is a thread answering exactly what I am asking point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Brad

A few of us are rocking the Tein H Techs. A little over 1" drop in the front and a little less than 1" drop in the rear. New cost less than $200.

The H Techs are 324 F and 263 R compared to 342/314 stock on the sport suspension. I have the stock sport suspension.

I heard good things about the skunk 2 springs also, they lower about the same as the H techs but they're 60 bucks cheaper, you don't really need to upgrade the shocks with a mild drop like that, but with the Z springs you do

How much could I expect to pay to get springs installed?

Depends on where you go, could range from 150 to 300. I think most shops charge around 200

doing it yourself is relatively easy, especially with a friend and a spring compressor. 3-4 hrs and a case of beer is all is cost me. don't forget to do an alignment after ~2 weeks.

If you can find a complete front 350z shock and spring already assembled with the top mount, you do not need a spring compressor. It's just a direct swap.

I've got 07 350z springs and shocks with 19 inch m45 rims. Still a lot of room to go lower but a lot better than stock

So I am under the assumption that you can just get a set of z springs and put them on without having to swith out other suspension as well as getting vehicle cambered. Is this correct? I have 20's and just want to get rid of most of the gap.

Thanks in advance.

yes, you should be fine to do just the springs.

You should find a set of revised springs. 2004.5+
