Same problem here. Only happens once in a while on each side.

I'm having this issue as well. I took off the interior piece that runs between the driver side door and the windshield and inspected the leaky area while someone was pouring water down the drain around the sunroof. I didn't observe the first leak. I did see where the drain hose ran inside the frame of the A-pillar and the water was running out behind the front drivers side tire like it was suppose to. There appears to be a white fabric of some sort just behind the headliner where the leak is occurring. The leak doesn't occur every time it rains.

Has anyone came about a resolution for the issue?

Any other suggestions on what could be causing this? I have taken it to a local body shop and they cannot duplicate the leak. I called a local Infiniti dealership and they are dead set on it being the drains for the sunroof. They suggest that I blow air through the drains to remove any slight blockage(s). I'm afraid that if I spray compressed air through the drains that something will get disconnected. Thoughts?

leak in sunroof 2004 G35 Sedan

My headliner was getting wet checked the normal items made sure sunroof was closing properly [alignment] this was ok, checked drain lines not plugged and flowing properly, checked seal there is slight leakage but the drain line should take care of the leakage that's what they are for. Took car to dealer and the problem is the sunroof track. Near the front of the track under the plastic wind defector on the side window side of track is an 'overlap' seal there is one on each side of the sunroof track. This is where the front piece of the track is joined to the rear section. This joint is factory 'fused' does not appear to be welded. the leak is at this joint. You can confirm this by removing the headliner in the area of the A frame then pour some water into the the sunroof track. If this joint has separated like mine water will come through the seal and run down the A pillar. The fix is to replace the sunroof track. Dealer quoted a price of $3300 for parts/labor.

I ran metal wire as well as a water/bleach solution through both forward sunroof drain lines and haven't had it happen since. Weed whacker line does real well to run through after the metal wire.

Just carefully pull it off from one of the sides. It's just held on by clips.

check the seam seal. Mine leaked after a windshield replacement. I just used some urethane.
