This forum needs a DIY on how to take off the Rear spoiler and patch up the TRUNK.. I may try this I just wanna know whats involved.

Personally I want that big spoiler off and a little lip coming off the back of my trunk. So my question is When I take it off how big are the wholes it leaves? Can they be filled and painted with touch up paint? Is it hard to take off the spoiler??

Lots of sedan guys could use a DIY like that since a lot of people would like this done

I think a professional body shop would have to fill the wholes and repaint the whole trunk, the lip won't cover all the holes and touch up paint is only for minor scratches and chips

BTW, I bought a front lip spoiler from Candlestick so we're getting closer to being twins!! Now all I need are Rays

 

man if you were local i'd trade you, but i got lip spoiler on mines.

 

i don't think it would look right if you just filled the holes and painted it with touch up paint

What u mean? Blacked out tail lights look awesome, how come you wanna get rid of yours, I got mine with a light tint and wish I would of went darker to match the OB paintjob

 

Mine is black as they come. I didnt say anything about removing my blacked out tail lights. I just want that trunk spoiler gone..

How could i trade anyone? cause the two lights that are on the trunk are blacked out" i thought you were trying to trade your blacked out tail lights lol, if you switch trunks you can switch reverse lights, they come off from the trunk you know, or they can remove the paint with paint thinner

 

Just switch the lights. Only takes a few seconds.

 

Find someone to trade trunks with, I would kill to find someone with an IP trunk that didn't like their spoiler! Try the classifieds.

 

okay then so is there anyone in Vegas or relatively close that would like to trade? How come you all want this so bad anyways? Why not just get the clean looking lip off the back of your trunk?
