I've got a coupe so I usually lurk in that section, but I was searching Mastergrade and found this thread. I bought a trunk, roof, and hood from Mastergrade in the Middle of July. I think I have gotten burned or scammed like many of you. I talked to a guy named Jim Martin through the email listed on the Mastergrade website. Everything seemed legit until the beginning of this month. Jim Martin said that he was shipping everything out that day on July 31. Around August 4th I contacted him and asked for a tracking number in which he replied that when he gets it he will send it to me. That threw up a red flag for me so I responded right back and asked if it had shipped out July 31st like he had said. Well I still have not received a reply or my orded parts. To make things even scarier, I just received an email from ebay saying that the "showstoppersusa" ebay account may be fraudulent. I've seen the name showstoppersusa on this forum selling mastergrade parts. Are we all involved in some big scam? Do you local guys know of any Jim or James Martin at Mastergrade or showstoppersusa? I've already filed a claim with Paypal. WTF

 

There used to be a Jim that used to be with showstoppers who worked closely with MG to sell parts. They had a lot of logistics problems so apparently JIM was let go. Anyway I wouldn't deal with JIM, you should cancel that payment, and if you really want MG stuff call them directly and speak to owner BOOMER....or contact another vendor that is legit and carries MG products. I know MG has a sales guy right now, I dont know if they got Jim back or not.....

It's a good thing you already filed your claim, that guy Jim was sketchy.

 

So did everything get straightened out?… All refunds – trunks getting installed…

Not looking for pics (since it has been banned) - but I think its important to know if everyone got taken care of.

 

I texted boomer yesterday or the day before to ask if he is scheduled to ship trunks out.

He told me he's waiting for remaining balance from Darrick, if Superkid paid, I'm guessing his shipped out yesterday. Hopefully he chimes in with the good news.

 

Hey Aaron and Mike - spoke to Boomer yesterday. I submitted final payment - but I'm not sure if it shipped yet. He said it was completed but wasn't sure if it was able to ship out... Boomer mentioned that he wouldn't run the card until it ships. Hopefully it'll go out soon if it hasn't already... I'll keep you folks posted.

He will ship out next week for sure, please let us know when he does!! he supposedly only ships once a week (fridays) but he said he'd probably ship your out earlier, we shall see. -_________-
