Re: Z Suspension on sedan question

1" When I first installed it I measured 1 1/8" in the rear. But after remeasuring it I now have 1" all the way around, go figure.

Here are some pics of how it looks on my car.

The front will just be out of coupe alignment specs, set the rear accordingly. These cars reward you for not going too tame on alighment specs and it will punish you if you go too tame, something I learned the hard way.

So if I understand you correctly, the front will be out of spec, but close enough? And the back is close enough to adjust back in tolerance? I've got a sedan also.

Re: Z Suspension on sedan question

I dunno, I dropped mine on an 03 Z suspension and I have some "tuck" in the rear. I will take some pics today or tomorrow and post em

the tuck is noticeable with a full tank of gas. At a quarter tank it is a "perfect" drop.

I think it is dependent on factors such as age of the suspension and driving techniques as to how far she settles

Jays_G - Check with Jran76 (I think that's his name). He had a Z with the Nismo and swapped it out and put it on his G sedan.

Re: Z Suspension on sedan question

There's a little tuck on my rear as well. Nothing significant though, not like the pics I've seen of the Teins. And I have the '04 Z springs.

Hey Gsedan35,

Your profile mentions modded spring seats. Can you explain this? Thanks.

Re: Z Suspension on sedan question

Sure RacerX, no one makes poly upper spring seats for these cars. I wanted some so I can try and get more road feel and kill any second order bounce from the soft spongy oem mounts. So, I created what I could with some basic material's. I used a spare set of rear lower spring seats(use's a harder rubber) that I cut down slightly. Oem front upper spring seat is pictured to the right.

For the rear, I cut down the oem upper spring seat to 1/4" thick (1" thick to start) and made a pair of hard plastic bushings to fill. Hey, they have worked exactly like I wanted them too, just a lot of work with the ole dremel.

Re: Z Suspension on sedan question

Correct I do have the Nismo S-tune suspension, basing this off of my Z, I would say it lowers the car and additional 1/2" on top of the Z suspension. Probably 1.5" from stock G Sedan height.

My personal opinion, it is the best suspension out there. The drop is perfect, although it may be a little low for some, and it handles as well as my Z. I love it.....

Alignment was very good. I am in Singapore now and do not have the numbers in front of me, but it drove MUCH better after the alignment.

Anyone in DFW, I would highly reccomend Dallas Frame and Alignment. It is a little pricey ($170), but well worth it. They do not use a computer and they do it the old fashioned way which is ideal if you ask me. I had the dealer do my Z after the drop and it was no where near spec.

Also, becasue I am out of the country, I have no pics, I have posted some a few time, and as recently as a couple days ago in this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...=5&part=2&vc=1
