You should get a grounding kit for the lag that you feel.

As for feeling slow, if you haven't reset the ECU you should. A tune will really help out.

Feeling slow?? Flip the "SNOW" mode on if you have an X and drive around like that for a few hours.

Then turn it off and it will feel like you gained 100HP

Speedometers lag bad, I tested this with my Trans-Am, I knew exactly the speed I would hit redline in 2nd (math, etc) and watched the speedometer on a WOT run. Hit the rev limiter a full 10 MPH before I should have, it was lagging by that much. It wasn't 10 MPH off, it was dead on cruising, but in quick acceleration, a speedometer will tell you nothing.
And the G is a different car with the TCS off!

That can't be it. You would hear him yelling at himself for revving up his engine!

More like 200hp...and I thought I was the only one who did that

I use snow mode on dry pavement. And I just read the following in the manual, not sure what to make of it.

Starting and driving 5-23
WARNING: Never drive on dry hard surface roads in the SNOW mode, as this will over load the powertrain and may cause a serious malfunction.

I've never used it on dry pavement, but sometimes when we get a storm it will be on for the weekend as i drive around on snow and slush covered roads. When the roads finally dry up and i turn it off, it feels MUCH more responsive.
