Question, Help!

I picked up my 03 emerald mist sedan Tuesday and today I'm getting it tinted. Back 3 windows and front 2 windows. How dark should I goon the back and front. I want it dark but I don't want my car to look like ghetto if I go to dark. Anyone have any suggestions? Getting tinted in two hours!

where are you at? staying legal? I think dark looks hawt, not ghetto.

I have 20% on front, and 5% for rear, rear windshield and visor strip.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. I live in Cali Sacramento area. I think I'm gonna go 10 in back and 45 in front. You guys think that would look weird on emerald green

I have 17% all the way around (except wind shield. But soon ) Easy night driving, keeps the sun out, looks good.

45 is too light and 10 is too dark.

Keep in mind the glass has some tint to it from the factory. I measured mine with a meter and it's 78%. Toss on 10% film and that's basically 7% right there...pretty dark.

45% film on glass is about 35% VLT measured on a meter. That's about the legal limit in most states really. Some let you go darker in the rear, but i'm not really a fan of the two shades of tint look.

I have 35% film all around...comes out to 27% on the meter. Illegal in MA...but i've been fine so far (knock on wood). I actually prefer it a little light as i like the "smoked" look over the "blacked out " look.

Most people here don't care about the laws, in which i'd suggest either 35% film or 20% film all the way around.

20% all around here. I'm also not a fan of the two shade tint look. Whatever you decide go the same shade all around.

Any tint on the front two windows is illegal in Cali. That being said, I would either put no tint on the front or have front and rear the same.

Mustand, right behind you, i got mine tinted. Im from MA and 35% is legal, so I did it, it's still very light i guess, esp in the day time, its like nothing was even put on, but when the sun starts to go down then it gets dark.

limo all around, first i did limo in the back and 20 in the front, limo in the back was a must for me in case of backseat loving privacy, but it made the front look way too light so i went limo in the front and 50 % on the whole windshield plus a big sunstrip, cant even see me from the front unless you get close

Limo is too dark for Emerald mist. Trust me I photo shopped every option lol.

What did you end up picking, not that it should be tinted and all? And post some pics of your new ride!
