I like cars that can travel accross long expanses of road at 100-115 while being comfortable, good radio, quiet, etc.

Now, i dont do that because i dont want a ticket for going 100. But traveling at 80 is clsoe enough.

I like cruising cars.

In St Paul Minnesota we have whats called 'University Avenue' or 'Uni'. on friday and saturday nights this is where all the car people go and cruise, meet, etc, until wee hours of the morning.

I like just driving the G up and down while all the hondas floor it and crap pretending they are fast.

that is exactly why i traded my rsx for this car, it was too damn annoying on the highway. now im not gonna try to cruise at over 80-85, but id like a car that feels stable and is quiet at speeds above 55..lol

rsx was a lot of fun when u beat on it, but punishing on long trips (3900 rpms at 80mph)

Well, after using my sisters 1996 Subaru Outback for the past couple weeks to commute around school and abck and forth from Minneapolis to Fargo, i can now appriciate the G that much more. THe G is just luxury at 80mph. One hand it with a cup of coffee in your right hand, good music playing, just relaxing drive.

The outback its 2 hands at 75, fighting to keep it from blowing off the road, ****ty *** crackly radio. Oh my god i am so glad im going to buy a used 95-97 Lexus ES for winter duties. i need a comfortable luxury car to drive this 3.5 hour commute LOL

00gts6speed has a point. Spend $4000 moving to a coupe only to sit in the drivers seat and realize it performs almost exactly the same but now you just have a really uncomfortable back seat.
But at least you look better... or more like a punk, depending on who you ask.

^IDEGAF about drive wheels, just as long as its comfortable, good radio, quiet, reasonably fast, and stable at higher speeds (im gonna be doing a lot of interstate driving)

For this, a nice used Lexus ES300 is fitting the bill perfectly. I can get a 95-97 for about $3000-$3500.

I am excited.

Nope. ES is just a Camry with a better radio, some wood trim, and heated leather seats.

I get high 20's highway fuel economy with my '07 IS. I don't consider it that bad when i'm barely making 22MPG highway with my G35

Drive wheels is very important to me. It's RWD or AWD for me....and i prefer RWD-biased AWD systems. I looked at buying a TL, but i can't do a FWD car. It's not so much the actual performance as it being "just my thing" i guess.

I cant do RWD due to some SERIOUS snow up here (and i plan on getting snows for the Lexus), and im not buying a Subaru, so that leaves FWD.

Nothing else appeals to me (even if it is a beater, it still needs to appeal to me) and this isnt gonna be my summer fun car, it is my winter beater, so i dont really care what wheels power it as long as its comfortable, has a good stereo system and a sunroof.

Yeah, totally with Mustang5L5 on the RWD thing, I can't STAND to drive a FWD car! And about the IS, I was talking about the older ones with the JZ motors, not the IS 250 or 350.

Oh my, I just realized I've helped derail another thread... sorry
