is it worthy to trade in my sedan for a coupe?
I would stick with the sedan, i like the feeling of being underrated to the general public (compared to the coupe). When in reality its the other way in terms of weight and which one is quicker.
It's torquey enough to have better than a .834 with a 3.357:1 though!
Interestingly, not all T-56s have the same ratios, in the 2000 TA, my 5th and 6th were .74 and .5! But I think the Mustangs that got it had the .8 and .68 right?
...with 2 OD's on the T-56. The extra gear is about a 0.80 ratio just to give it a little more pull. 6th gear is 0.68....
dont know how the topic has been changed LOL
but just to mention, my sedan is the very first G35 model which has relatively fewer hp (260), so a coupe would go faster than my ride lol
and...it's pretty bad on gas! about 15L/100km (city/hwy mixed) when im not driving aggressively

0.63 for 6th actually. I got it wrong
1st 2.66
2nd 1.78
3rd 1.30
4th 1.00
5th 0.80
6th 0.63
Reverse 2.90
And for comparison, the 5-spd
1st: 3.38
2nd: 2.00
3rd: 1.32
4th: 1.00
5th: 0.67 (or 0.62 depending on year and model)
Rev: 3.38
Lower gears were taller on the t-56 in the ford so swapping a t-56 into an N/A GT would make it slightly slower unless the car had some extra power or steep rear end gears like 4.30's or 4.56's

I had him on top end but he kept up on the down low.
yeah don't worry about times that seem slower then other people. people at fast tracks will act like they are better drivers or that your car isn't running right but there are a lot of variables.
i know at e-town i trapped at 98.5 and and at atco i trapped at 99.5 in my rsx. my friend had a mazdaspeed3 that he ran at e-town one week and got 13.9@99-100 then went down to cecil county raceway or w/e and pulled 13.6@104
you can't compare times from different tracks and whp from different dynos

sooo... i checked out the coupes that i saw on autotrader and none of them were either in good condition or within my budget. so i've decided to stick with my sedan unless i win a lottery or wtv LOL
im gonna do some mods on it, still thinking what i can do with the money in my pocket
but thank you guys anywayz!

I've driven a lot of cars at my age and there has been no car THAT I HAVE DRIVEN that is as comfortable and smooth as the g35. The only thing I hate about this car is the stock HU and the cup holders up front, other than that im all set. Not much people with sedan mods here, i was surprised to find some MA people who have sedans and modded them, but i havent seen it in my city yet.
