The airbag has been deployed??? It's just a guess...

 

i've never seen that color before.

No doggy door and the messed up dash is all I see...
Is it the wood trim? Is the lower trim painted too? I can't tell from the pics, or maybe I'm just that drunk right now...

 

1.The air bag on the passenger side looked like it deployed before.
2.No doggy door
3.Slash on steering wheel

If the airbag has been deployed before, there would be a huge rip in the dash instead of that dent

 

^I know it sorta looks like they sowed it back up or rewrapped that section. You can but a dent like that in the dash with the airbag still in there....I don't think.

 

My guess is that the car was in an accident and the bodyshop repairing it painted evrything to match, but did not properly replace the airbag(s?) and cover piece.

they didnt do a good job painting it either, the passenger side quarter panel doesn't match up with the passenger-rear door.

 

I suspect the air bag was stolen.

 

The divot in the dash is where the missuz would rest her feet.

I bet it was wrecked and got a different trunk.

Every EM i have seen has had a doggy door so i think it ONLY came with a doggy door.

 

'No doggy door' is the definitive answer, BUT I have seen other pics of 03.5 EMs (no dd) so it's not unique, just rare.
