I'd love it if you'd post up any links Żou have offhand to save me some searchtime since I'm on a lowly bb browser at work right now!
As for whoever said the volvo is "completley unmodable" that really depends on what your defenition of modable is. Its true you won't be calling up stillen or wings west for support, but surprisingly volvos have quite a following because of their sleeper status and their ease to work on(at least the older ones). The race shop I work next door to has one that has some nifty stuff under the hood that I would gladly trade my g for... Except my g is worth about a third of the cars total value. Also, volvo has a surprisingly long race history. They build good cars. Even if I wouldn't be caught dead in one.

It is my video posted in the first post along with my Volvo and my good friend's G35.
Like an earlier poster said, my Volvo is not stock. It does have a Stage II tune for IPD but the difference between a Stage I and II is not that much different. Stage II takes into consideration a downpipe and exhaust.
I also don't have the torque delete. The torque delete allows for all 19 lbs of boost in 1st and 2nd gear. Because I have an geartronic and am not made of money, I decided to keep my transmission in check and only have 12 psi in 1st and 2nd and from 3rd gear on, have 19 lbs of boost.
My Volvo dynoed stock 206 whp and 226 ft/lbs of torque and with the tune and dp+exhaust, it dynoed 247 whp and 303 ft/lb. 1/4 mile stock, I ran 15.4s @ 91 mph and tuned, I ran 14.6s @ 99 mph.
I can't imagine that big of a difference between a Stage I and Stage II tune.
I owned 2 Maximas before getting my Volvo so I had strongly considered the G35 when it came time to get rid of my Maxima. At that time, a lot of Maxima guys were getting rid of their Maximas for G35s so I didn't want to follow the crowd and I've always like sedans and sleeper cars which is why I chose the Volvo.
I do like the G35 coupe but I personally think my Volvo is simple and understated. While not as slick as the G35 coupe, it's definately not "ugly" nor is it "unmoddable". There are a couple of tuners out there with a handful that are quite reliable.

Stock 0-60 - 6.9 secs
Tuned Stage 2 0-60 - 6.2 secs
The Volvo is definately not a 1/4 mile car. Not a huge difference on the low end because I didn't have the torque delete. After 60 mph, when I hit 3rd gear is when my boost kicks in and then I start hauling.

What I like about G35 - you can always install Twin-Turbo and forget about 0-60 times

I test drove the Volvo when considering purchasing the 2005 G35x. I also test drove the Ford Fusion.
I decided to turn down the Volvo b/c the backseat was too small (not enough leg room). The Volvo drove great, and got better MPG. However, I did not like the layout interior of the Volvo, and I knew that maintanence would not be fun.
I declined the Ford Fusion b/c the V6 sucked when compared to my wife's Toyota Corolla.

Amazing how speed is always used as the #1 criteria...not like everyone drive;s their luxury cars around at WOT.
If i found a loaded RED 6-spd S60R with Navi before I found my G35x...i'd be over at the volvo forums right now. The R's are nice cars..but they are uncommon...which isn't a bad thing.

That was one of the deciding factors in choosing a G35x over the S60R. Still, had I come across the right one first, i would have pulled the trigger on it. It just so happened I found my G35x of choice first. I kinda wish Infiniti made the sedans in the same shade of red as the coupe. I know they started that in 2007.
My fav color car is red...and I have yet to own one.
