it should realistically take about 4-5 hours to draw, program, fab one of these. The hardest thing I think would be to ensure that the holes line up, and couldnt you locate them based on the stock piece.

A test fit of the 350z piece has already been done on my car a couple weeks ago. The mounting points in the rear are completely different and the door for the oil change has to be reworked b.c of the difference in location of the filter on the X.

I stated something in another thread, can't remember which one so I'll just retype. There is a route you can go, that would also add stability to the bumper, especially if you have an aftermarket one.

Contact Seibon and they can get you a fiberglassed piece with carbon on it (not sure if it's an overlay or what, but it's about 1/8" - 1/4" thick and you can bend it like no other. You can cut out a window for it and have a larger piece for that window so it can be easily removed.

I don't think it would cost too much and it would be an alternative...it'll just require some work to have it shaped properly.

Have Darren, Zach or anyone given you an idea when it will be ready? I was waiting for that one too but have not heard anything in quite a while.

I'm manufacturing cardboard undercovers. Effectively soaks up any oil leakage from your head gasket and oil pan spacers. $25 + shipping. PM me.

I actually prefer to take the cover off. It's a way to inspect things underneath and see if anything needs attention. Cover still needs to be removed to replace the belt, and change the front diff fluid. And it isn't that hard to remove with a cordless and 10mm nutdriver tip.

Like i said, looks great, but can't justify nearly $300 on it when i'd prob take it off for oil changes anyway.

although it does look great, i really dont see why the fuss... and not to **** all over your thread but aluminum? really? why such a soft metal? anyways i think if you really care that much about removal of that skid plate you should just relocate the oil filter or remove the whole skid plate altogether... if you really whack something, plastic is going to offer only slightly less protection than your 300.00 cnc'd shiny seram wrap jobby
