3 lights on dash and brake lights don't work...

Description of problem:

I start the car and everything appears fine. The brake lights light up. Once i press the brake pedal past a certain point (about 1 inch??) 3 lights pop up on my dash: "abs", "slip", and "vdc off". Once these lights show on my dash, the brake lights stop working. When I turn the car off and back on, the lights are gone from the dash but the brake lights still don't work

Trying to avoid the problem:

I've changed my driving habits now to avoid the lights popping up on the dash and thus making my brake lights stop lighting up. I slow down way in advance so I don't have to press the brake pedal too far down. I also down shift when I can to help. (6speed). But sometimes I have no choice but to press down the brake pedal past that point, like when coming to a short stop going down a hill. I am constantly checking to see if my brake lights light up by looking for the reflection off the license plate of the car behind me. Sounds ridiculous I know but I realized how dangerous it can be to drive without brake lights.

Trying to fix it:

I replaced the stop light switch(located over the pedal) and checked for codes and reset it. The lights on the dash never showed up and the brake lights worked for about 2 weeks, then the same problem came back. The code that came up was "pressure sensor circuit".

What is the pressure sensor circuit and does it need to be replaced? What else can be causing this odd problem?

thanks for taking the time to read this. any input will be helpful

have you checked the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir? I think that means the fluid is low..

when you say your brake lights, you don't mean your exteriors do you? i don't understand why your fluid level would affect that.

It wouldn't, but it could cause the other lights.

Fuses are worth a look over. The BOX on the drivers side or the 2 fuse boxs next to the battery. Search the forums if you have trouble finding them.

I'd start researching if the G35 uses a pressure sensor in it's brake system...prob with the ABS.

If so, it's probably failing. This is speculation though...i haven't checked out the brake plumbing much
