Shaved trunk ticketed...

Ok, so I apparently was illegally parked and went inside for like 10 minutes, came out and I saw I had a ticket. You guys know how on the ticket it tells you the make of your car, well under make and model, well under make, they put Acura and under model they wrote N/A. Isn't that ridiculous?!? I was so mad, but i also find it amusing that I tricked them because my trunk didn't have the 'INFINITI" and the "G35X" but I knew it was my car because they wrote my license plate number and the color of my car down. Also on the ticket it said specifically, i cannot appeal this ticket. Awesome right? I guess my car is an acura now. Has this ever happened to anyone?

You should be able to appeal the ticket due to the fact that it does not meet the description of your vehicle. I would try and fight it.

yeah, i agree. and i would think its disputable, they ticketed it you with the wrong information. just imagine how they would feel when they ticket another G35 after ticketing your "acura" hah.

If that cop wrote down "hoe magnet" under "Make"...that would be acceptable and I would gladly pay the ticket.

rofl i kno they ticketed me wrong, but just because they have my license plate number, I don't know. It was a college campus, so the officers were probably like hall monitors or some crap

Unfortunately i don't think you have much grounds for dismissal. The most important peice of info is your license plate.

plate could be stolen.

before issuing ticket officer must verify if the registered info matches the car that's wearing the plate.

With a good lawyer this ticket could go by by.

but then the lawyer will prolly cost 3 times more then the ticket.

The main concern in this case will be not the fact that make and model on the ticket are different then make and model of your car, but the fact that officer completed ticket without veryfing the information, therefore ticket is completed improperly. So if the officer completed ticket improperly then we can question officer decision to issue the violation in total.

In my opinion this is an easy ticket to win. You either have to be very well prepared your self or hire an attorney.
