Doesn't 3M or someone make a clear UV protective film?

Yep, you can get a clear vinyl overlay to help protect them. My ebay ones started to peal on the inside. I'm actually going back to them though, for now, cause the OEM ones I have right now are in real bad shape.

i might go to the tint shop then, the guy has laminX film really high quality glossy film, he has clear, light tint, smoke and dark tint. I'll get the clear or if he doesnt have it then the lightest tint. He charges like 75 though, pricey. I got a film on top of the nite shades tint on my tail lights and they look 1000x better cuz they had no reflection before. Papa i think my headlights are in way worse shape than yours lol i tried wet sanding one of them with nothing to lose and it made it worse lol, looks cloudy as hell. Cant wait to put the new ones on

You need aftermarket H1 and H4 hid kits to be able to. It won't work with OEM hids.

Any reason you picked the ones you did over the ones that were $13 cheaper?

H1 = low beam (non-HID)
H4 = high beam
