Has anyone had a problem with...
I haven't had any problem with the one in my G, but I've had them leak in other cars I've owned. The symptom is usually fogged up windows and a smell of antifreeze inside the car. Depending how bad it is, your engine coolant overflow will get low, and then your radiator.
If you flush the radiator/cooling system with the heater operating then you will flush the heather core too. A flush won't help with a leak though.
If your heater isn't operating and you don't have a leak then it's probably the damper that moves air over the core or could be a coolant control valve that prevents coolant from circulating water in the heater core when the heater isn't needed. I don't know if the G has one of these or not.

I don't know either. I'm trying to look for one.
I've bleed the coolant like 50 times in 50 different ways over the past couple days. I've also changed the thermostat and there is no heat when idling. I do not smell coolant in the cabin, the floor isn't wet, and my overflow has not changed.
However, there is only one pipe going into the firewall that is uncomfortably hot.

You should be able to disconnect the inlet/outlet hoses and flush the core. Might be clogged up with junk. Worth a shot at this point. Try not to put too much pressure though there though
This TSB doesn't apply to your particular car, but it illustrates how to flush your heater core and confirm it isn't blocked.

Thanks for posting.
At idle, normal operating temperature, and the coolant level at the max line, how high should coolant be in the top of the radiator?

It only over flows when I give it gas. With the engine running, I squeeze the upper radiator hose and only sometimes I can push coolant out of the bleeder, if that means anything.
I'd bet money that you have air in the system.
Installed crawford headers/cats in my friends Z the other day. That what it was like before we bled the system all the way.
Is your car running hot at all?

Not hot at all! Temperature gauge is a line lower than half way even on 1 hour trips.
I'm hoping it's something stupid like air in the line and I am not bleeding it properly. Could it be low on fluid even if the overflow is at "Max"?
