LOL. I had a Lincoln Mark 8 back in the day. Good car, but the downside was the airbag suspension. ANyway on the highway the front bags would regularly deflate slamming my nose to the ground. Only way to pump them back up was to shut the car off and restart. So, i used to shut the car off at 60MPH and restart. Dangerous i know.

Car was a POS, but it was fast.

 

i have had the same problem for over a month now. some days are better than others, and it works on some days and not on others. and it doesnt seem as temp dependent as i thought. i do have a code, 2nd time i have gotten it. 1760. clutch overun solenoid. seems plausible considering that overun deals with the Over Driver according to some research. the problem i am having is that sometimes my car will not shift into FIRST either. from reverse to 2nd is what it does.
