Why is the alumnium brake pedal so difficult?

I installed an auto starter, and a ztube, all together took me like 2 hours. Then i try to install the aluminum pedals, gas and dead pedal took like 5 minutes, and I still have not manage to install the brake pedal, i try heating it up with boiling water and putting it on the brake, but i only have half of it on, the other is off, it seems pretty stable to drive with still, but i want to fully install it. Any more ideas how to put this on?

you have to do this fast. heat up the rubber with a blow drier, and get soapy water spray the crap out of the back of the pedal slip one side in and then use a flat head to pry the other tabs in.

how i did mine was get the top in place first then use the flat head to guide the sides in place then the bottom. your hands will prolly hurt after lol but its worth it

LOL YES KRIS my hands are in pain right now!Well right now in MA its like..30 degrees lol so you can how hard it was for me outside doing this. I used hot water to warm them up but i did not use the soap and water tactic, i will try that..tomorrow..when there's light and not as cold lol

i cut 2 of the corners so it will allow me to pull the rubber out to wrap it around the pedal. i used some glue to make sure it wont budge. works great so far.

Put it in boiling water, pull it out and then use soapy water to help slide it on. That's the technique i've used to install AL ppedals on other cars.

I have my OEM sport pedals still in the box. Winter in MA, and i'd rather wait for spring instead of getting salt and crud over my brand new pedals

How does the remote start work out ? I was looking at putting one on my car but they don't make a factory one --also what brand did you use? How hard was it to install-wire splicing?

Well, it was 0 degrees in MA today, and I managed to install the brake pedals as easy as 1,2,3. I don't know why I had so much trouble with it yesterday, but today, i use the soapy water technique along with hot boiling water, i placed the pad on the brakes and i just pushed it with some force...and it snapped in on all sides..lol..how weird right? I will upload some pictures later on

The remote starter is really good especially for me since i live in a cold place. I actually tried installing it myself with an aftermarket brand but my dad stopped me before i could lol. I installed it and it didn't work as well, thats probably why it took me like an hour lol. He took my car to his nissan dealership and they installed it for like 100 bucks. The brand is AutoMate. Really easy and simple, one button on the remote, press twice to start it up, press twice to turn off the car. Highly worth it. They did it pretty fast too

Do you have the Ikey??

I'd like a remote start that will work with the keyless ignition, but also with the OEM remote. I'd really like to not have to carry two remotes with me.
