Not a bad job swapping the shifter plate on though. Much nicer looking than the gated 03/04 shifter.


I don't think the consoles will swap though. Where they bolt up to the dash is not shaped the same at all. You'd basically need to swap the entire dash along with it...at least from when i can tell by looking at pics of 03/04 and my 06's interior

 

not to mention the AC controls and radio has to be swapped also Sure you can go double din......but the enter dash and even steering column was redesigned in 05-06 models. They added the mechanical adjustments.

 

Tomorrow I'll get pictures of the 05-07 gauge cluster I put in my 04.

 

Just get a shift boot from Locksmith. Better looking than the 05/06 console IMO

Resurrecting thread from the dead, but thought it would be better than posting a new one! So my question is somewhat in this area I guess, but couldn't find a direct straight answer. So how hard is it to swap center console of 05-06 into an 03-04, but 6mt? What is needed, the entire dash to be changed? the cluster too? or just the console with a little tweaking? any wirework? Anyone has a diy? this thread was the best good old "search" could dish out...although I'm sure this has been covered thousands of times, so sorry!
