The wife and I were cruising up Hwy 1, just past San Gregario beach and noticed a bunch (30?) of BMWs all parked in a row on the side of the road. Lots of M's, various older models with rear wings, etc. Several had their hoods up so the other members of the "convoy" could check them out. I assume it was some kind of BMW club drive. Ok, I know it's childish (well, that what my wife called it after asking if I was "having fun") - but I just had to rev. it to redline in 2nd as I passed by. Well the Stillen's pretty loud, on the "receiving end", especially when standing only 10 feet away. The looks were absolutely priceless!!! Their "leader" was some guy with an M5, talking on a headset, who proceeded to give me the one finger salute. My wife looked back and busted up laughing. She said they all had this "after him" look on their faces. I wasn't going very fast (2nd gear after all, and there was a lot of traffic), but did at least succeed in getting them all to notice a G35...

At least the guy who gave you the salute can do that. I heard an M5 yesterday with Dinan (my thinking) exhaust and that thing sounded like nothing else on this planet. Even 550 Maranello which I heard 2 hours before that sounded crap compared to M5.
