Stock 2006 G35x sedan 0-60 and 1/4 times?

I've just purchased a 2006 G35x sedan, and I have tried googling the 0-60mph times and 1/4 times and have literally found nothing! Not even a search on this forums comes up with anything.

The best I can find are some youtube videos. There's lots of info on the coupe, the 6MT RWD sedan etc. - but nothing on the 2006 G36X sedan specifically.

Can someone please once and for all tell me the best possible 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the 2006 G35x sedan? I think the "best possible" is the most important, not the "typical" because what's important is a car's potential not the limitations of the particular driver doing a test at a particular time.

I appreciate your patience if this topic has been discussed before, but I have done my due diligence in trying to find the answer before asking it here. Thanks for the help!

You really bought the wrong car if the 1/4 mile time is that important to you. I bought my 06 X new, and I have never really cared what its 0-60 or 1/4mille time is. It's fast enough.

But.. I am not trying to be un-helpful. I know someone knows the answer. Welcome to the board.

My assumption.

6 seconds flat for 0-60. And 14.6 for the 1/4 mile.

uh thanks, but no thanks to the pontificating. A man who loves his car, knows his car. I don't need to be lectured about the right or wrong car to do a 1/4 mile, I just need to know the stats, and I don't like my threads hijacked by well-meaning preachers. Thanks!

For those who are inclined to help - I really appreciate real life numbers because they are nowhere on the net, and if I can't find it here I don't know where else to look!! Thanks G35x experts!!

Can't tell u exact times,
All I can say is Bolt on, tune...

When it's go time...

hold the brake, floor the Gas... it's governed at 2800rpms, perfect launch even in the worst ground... after 3500-4k+ pulls like a bat outta hell anyways...
tiptronic, perfect shifts at 7200-7300s...

I think I easily do low 5s to 60 on my 17s =X

i dont think that's necessarily true. it's all in how much time, money and dedication he has in it. any car can be made fast. i had this discussion before, it didn't really go anywhere, but the g35x has a great foundation. i'm not saying it would be cheap or easy, like with some cars you can put 6 solid bolt ons and have a very decent timeslip, but the car gets GREAT traction out the gate, and has a very solid engine to build upon. if one was so inclined i'm sure one could make a very interesting project. justsayin'.

I raced mine.

Full tank of gas, full size spare and 50 pound toolbox in the trunk....I ran a 14.7 @ 93MPH at the track

If i ran near empty, and took the spare and toolbox out (i usually don't carry it in the car) i prob could have done a 14.6 or even 14.5

Years ago Car & Driver did a 14.4@96mph in a 2005 G35X. Not bad. The best I've seen posted on this site for a stock G35X was a high 14.4.

Why don't you just take it to the track and see?

^ +1. who cares what a car can do in Denver if you live in Miami. the car's potential is also a function of where you live, so tracking it is the best metric for determining your G's performance. but remember that air/track temp play a big role even at the same track.

i saw 14.3 @ 98 with my G 2 years ago, but that was on a hot summer evening where the track had been baking all day. who knows what i could have run in cool temps?

global "best possible" times are irrelevant, it is the local times that are important.
