Stance LX vs. Tein CS

I am looking for some coilovers for my daily driven G35. I have read that these are both for "luxury" type vehicles. I am looking to lower my car 2-2.5 inches and I am looking for comfortable ride quality. Which one should I go with and why?
Thank you.

Why go with coils if you are going for comfort and not performance?

That being said, I don't think you'll be unhappy with either. Stance are great, so are the Tein CS.

I've ran the Tein CS and just installed the Stance LX yesterday on my car.

The Tein, are a nice smooth OEM like ride that is a little stiffer than OEM on it's highest setting. For me, it winded up being too soft of a ride and I wanted something more stiffer for a sportier feeling.

The one thing I didn't like about the Tein was that you lose the pre-load of the spring when you start lowering the car considerably. Over larger bumps, you actually get a slight rattle out of the spring boucing around upfront because of the suspension travel. (make sense?) I don't quite remember at what height you lose the pre-load though but I was dropped at least 3 inches. On the Stance, the pre-load collars and the lowering collar are seperate from each other so you will never lose the pre-load. I installed a set of LX's on a sedan a few weeks back over here but I don't remember his screen name. I'll see if I can dig it up or hopefully he (Adler) see's this thread.

Oh...both shocks are made of mono-block construction which is a good thing. Stance are a good few hundred dollars less than Tein last time I looked as well.

g35papa - you mentioned that I lose the pre load of the spring when I lower it considerably. How low would that be?

I also mentioned I didn't know how low you would go before losing it but that is on the Tein CS only. You wouldn't have that issue with the Stance.
