Re: HELP! Engine Failure!
Congratulations Cru!
I'm sure if you wanted to create a thread this long you would've wanted the subject to be a bit different! Glad it had a somewhat happy ending. Have fun breaking in the new mill!

Re: HELP! Engine Failure!
I didn't want to read back through all these posts, but did you ever check into the Lemon Law? I know myself, I would not want the car back, after this, who knows what could happen now. Every manufacturer produces their fair share of lemons, even the "heralded" Toyota and Honda brands, it's just a fact of mass production.

You obviously didn't read [Post #1] that the car had 29,500 miles.
<hr></blockquote>
Yes, but what does that have to do with the Lemon Law? Doesn't mention that there! No need to be rude about it Q45!

"56:12-31. Report of nonconformity; repairs
If a consumer reports a nonconformity in a motor vehicle to the manufacturer or its dealer during the first 18,000 miles of operation or during the period of two years following the date of original delivery to a consumer, whichever is earlier, the manufacturer shall make, or arrange with its dealer to make, within a reasonable time, all repairs necessary to correct the nonconformity. Such repairs if made after the first 12,000 miles of operation or after the period of one year following the date of original delivery to the consumer, whichever is earlier, shall be paid for by the consumer, unless otherwise covered by a manufacturer's warranty, and shall be recoverable as a cost under section 14 of this act.
L. 1988, c. 123, s. 3. "
18,000 miles is the limit or 2 years which ever occurs first!

Re: HELP! Engine Failure!
If your state has a lemon law be sure to notify the manufacturer in writing prior to 18,000 miles [multiple return receipts requested] that you are invoking the law, otherwise you are out of luck.
Dealing with dealers and even regional Infiniti representatives is not enough! LEGAL WRITTEN NOTICE must be given to Nissan Corporate not just Infiniti which is just a brand name.
Notice is cheap insurance and the legal department will immediately get the corporation rolling to avoid the court cost.

Re: HELP! Engine Failure!
i'm sure that this has already been posted, but it's illegal for them to deny your repair unless the mods had a direct reflection on your engine failure. i can't remember what site that this is on, but i know this for a fact. if you have further questions, feel free to email me and i'm sure that i can find it. good luck.
