just my .02
I bought my car used and according to the dealer and a few mechanics, the previous owner had put on a cheaper harder compound brake pad than the oem. My car squeeks and squeels, when i brake, so loud its so annoying. It makes the car seem cheap IMO. Its not worth the money saved, its bothersome.
gotta pay to play

I found a old reciept in the glove compartment for a brake job. I didn't really think about what kind of pads he might of used, cause it wasn't the dealer. So that might be part of the problem.

I do appreciate everyones replies, except for that one. lol. I think I'm gonna do the 06 swap in the front, and just replace the pads and disc in the rear. I'll post the outcome just incase anyone wants to know. Thanks

...My front bumper is all jacked up. I was wondering if I should just buy a used one (like $400 at salvage yard) or look into a body kit that has a whole front replacement?

Props to another High-Mileage, first Gen, Ivory Pearl owner named Joseph

Feel free to steal any ideas https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...erd-style.html

Anyway... on to your question about the bumper. DON'T pay $400 for a used 03 bumper unless it's the Areo Kit (and you probably won't find that)
PM Kris79 or I Ride G and ask them about bumper options.
Strafe and KuRookie bumpers are options too (search will help you here)

Thank you. I want the engine to last a long time, but almost can't wait until it needs to be replaced so I can do something crazy. Has anyone ever put in a Titan engine?

The torque has to be awesome on something like that.

I keep looking through all these vendor threads for body kits, and it's a MESS! Everything seems so un certain. Does it fit? Is it in stock? Will my grill fit? Do the lights fit? Will it warp? (Just a few) And then I got to paint it. I might just try and make my own. And whats with the big secret on the prices? They aren't any cheaper then anywhere else. At least the price they give me.

I found this local place close to me in Houston, Nissan Unlimited. Tommorrow I'm picking up some 06 calipers and rotors ($180), and some misc stuff. They quoted me a price of $400 for all four springs with struts from a 350z. That will give me a 1" drop all around right?

^yes, that will give you 1". That seems a little high though, have you checked the marketplace? (or the marketplace on the350z site)

Also, you might want to try and go with 04.5 or newer 350Z setup. Spring rate is a little stiffer in back so you get better handling.

I was just thinking that my struts and shocks have probably seen better days. The quote I got includes the springs, struts, and rear shocks. But I'm gonna have to see how much those are new. Also they told me they don't seperate the struts and springs. And I'll keep your springs in mind r1forever80.

Most used places sell the suspension as setup so they dont seperate the spring a strut. A nice new set of tokicos would be good
Oh i forgot im in Dfw, so im close.

You know the only problem I have with that is what if someone just lies and sends you some regular sedan springs or something? How would you know?

Oh and the 350z stuff is on a 06 with 60k. They buy totaled cars and part them out. So I could even go look at it before they take the stuff off if I didn't trust them. But since I'm local I don't think they would try anything.
