I'm definitely going to do it in the spring. Can't wait! It looks like it will be about $200 for inside and out detailing....does that sound reasonable?

I've seen places for $100, but I guess detailing is an art and you should read up on reviews and recommendations. I've detailed my own car though, clay bar, two coats of polish, two coats of wax using an orbital buffer and it came out excellent. Anway, off topic, but may I recommend getting your headlight shrouds painted black and an OEM spoiler?

make sure you look for places that has reviews on them. some places doesnt fix the issues, and may even make it worse. definitely look for a reputable place

GOOD advice, $200 sounds cheap for a complete detail considering it takes at least a full day.

Welcome to the AWD club. Great looking car. I like how they went to a gunmetal grille instead of the chrome most of us have/had. As far as detailing, skip the interior work and just have someone do the paint. You can do the interior yourself.

Take a look at my avatar. My headlight "shroud" is painted black (many people call it a bezel). It's the chrome piece inside the headlight housing. But don't worry about painting it right now (or ever), it's something you can do later once you're more familiar with some of the mods people have done to their cars. For now, just enjoy your new toy.

Where are you in the world?

$200 is rather steep for simply cleaning your car.... spend $8 at the car wash (wait until winter ends in a month).

in the meantime, take it to your local gas station with $2 in quarters and use the vacuum to clean out the inside. should not take any longer than 10 minutes.

if you want a shinny inside look, spend $5 on those Armorall wipes, and wipe down your seats.

if you got the car from a dearlership (and judging from the front license plate of the car, you did), then they should have had the car cleaned out before you bought it. so detailing is not really going to yield very much.

the only time you want to detail the car is if you spilled food or drink and the smell won't come out. or when a homeless person breaks into your car just to take a dump (true story)

^Your car must be filthy.
A real "detail" is much more than "simply cleaning your car"
Now whether or not the $200 quote the OP got was for a true detail or just a glorified car wash, I don't know.
