so i wanna drop my 06 G35X and I heard about the 350z springs.
Question is, I hear about revised, unrevised, 2004.5 springs? I mean can someone help me out a lil' bit here?
Are we talking about regular 350z springs? for front and rear? Is this an even drop?
Do I have to get them used or can I go to Nissan and order them new?
Is this a direct fit even though the car is an AWD, or does the mechanic need more parts besides the springs?
Thanks in advance!

PS: I searched but only found a 100-page thread about different drops.
I'm only interested on the 350z springs, and that's why I decided to make a new thread. thanks!

Yes, it's a drop.

A guy who works at my building has them on his ride and it drops it about 2 inches. He had to roll his fenders to fit the coupe 19's.

If you sift through that 100 page thread (like I did) you'll find out that the rear shocks will more than likely have to be replaced with a drop like that.

so if you have 350z springs, or any make of 350z springs, you cant use the stock oem sedan sport shocks in the rear ???

350z springs drop you a EXTRA 1'' on top of their drop .. coupe springs drop you a EXTRA .5'' on top of the drop ... you can use sedan spring,350z springs and coupe springs .. all the dropps are different and rides are different ..

That extra bit may have changed my mind. I only wanted a 1" drop total.

Unrevised have a lower spring rate than revised. Yes you can use any spring from a coupe/350z but on a X it will actually drop lower than ,5/1 inch since we are high to begin with. With the stock 350z spring your drop will look uneven. I say go with coupe front 350z rear, only a slight difference.

I say do it right the first time and get coils. Trust me I went through something like 5 different spring set ups and coils are a far better product. Yes more money but since they dont make aftermarket front struts it will be worth it in the long run.

They do make after market front struts for the X now.. I have KYB struts up front and they have been great so far, you can buy them on tire rack.

if you want a descent drop 350z all around will be good on an X it will be about 1.5 in front and back
coupe springs will drop the x about a little less then 1in all around

if youre getting 350z springs i suggest the strut/spring combo all ready to go, and try my350z.com they'll be easier to find them just get some w/ less then 40k miles on them and they will be fine go for revised which is i believe 2005+ 350z

Guys correct me if I am wrong, but the X is 1" taller than the RWD, so he would need RWD springs to achieve the drop he wants. If the is the case, then I have some Sedan RWD springs for you. PM me since I'm taking mine out tomorrow and putting in 350z H. Tech

those aftermarket front struts are only for the 05-06 X right? they won't fit the 04.5X?
