04g35sedan,Xenon HID went out!

Well i decided to turn on my car one night and my passenger side xenon went out!!Im deciding on getting new ones and possibly putting them on myself.A friend of mine told me i should put in 6000k instead of the stock 4300k's thats burning temperature.Anyone have 6ks on there g? how do they look? Would i be able to pick them up from a local auto parts store? Lastly would the installation of the bulbs be a pain? if they are im just gonna take them to a shop.Replies pls!!ty!

Edit: $15 for a pair of bulbs http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=264&parent=85 DDM Tuning has a pretty good rep for their HID stuff.

4300K will give the best light output, but has a slight yellow tint to it. If you want pure white get 5000K. If you want a hint of blue get 6000K. I would order the bulbs online for a better deal. There are lots of threads on here that discuss how to replace them. You can access the bulbs by turning your wheel and going through the wheel well.

the pictures makes the 6k whiter than it really is. It really does have a blue tint to them. Get 5000k if you want pure white.

$15 for a pair of HID bulbs? How is the quality? Are they gonna last more than 6 months?

I've been running GaraX 6K for a while now. I really like them. They were $50 a pair on ebay. I have a pic on my album.

I'm temped to try it for $15...but if 6 months from now one blows, i'd toss them in the trash vs spending money to ship them back and get another one and more than likely go through the same stuff again Lifetime warranty usually means "until you get sick of shipping them back to us and go buy a quality part"

I kinda want to buy the more expensive Phillips 6K bulbs...but $15 is temping.

Does anyone have them and how long have them been in your car and used?

$15 is alot less than high end halogen bulbs like SilverStar's that last between 6 months and a year.
