so its not my car but my brother in laws car, he has an 03 coupe MT and when he puts the key in to start all that happens is the lights shut off from the panel and doesnt do anything... then after 1 second they turn back on. he sometimes waits for a while and works. its not the starter because the engine doesnt even attempt to start.. dont hear anything.
the way it looks like it seems like the clutch wasnt being even pushed in... because car wont start, but we have the clutch all the way in. anyone have this problem?

 

so seems like we figured it out. it seems that when we push the clutch in.. its not touching the button in the back... anyone ever experience this?

 

follow the pedal up and press it to see where it gets stuck

 

it doesn't get stuck, it just doesn't hit the button. my brother in law use a walmart fix, think he just added something to the clutch in the back so it touches.
