New Member, love this car

Hi everyone
I got a 2003 G35 with almost 120K last month. Brilliant Silver.
It runs perfectly smooth.
So far, I threw in a K&N drop in air filter, other than that its all stock.
I'm looking forward to getting an elegant, classy but different look for my car.
Something that stands out but at the same time does not scream body kit.
I have a feeling I'm gonna need a lot of help with this though because its not a very common look that people want.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome to the G35 world and to a great forum. There's lots of stuff you can do to your car, so take your time researching here so you get what you want the first time around. Trust me, eventually you'll be doing mods you never even considered (who'd a thought the blinker mod would be so fun?).

You remind me of myself, first thing I did after getting my '04 was throw a K&N filter in it. Now I've got a Rev Up air box, Z tube and my Nismo Aero kit will be going on in May... then come the coupe wheels, and maybe the coupe seats, and a 5/16" spacer, and an HR Y pipe and a coupe midpipe, and maybe a debadge... etc. etc.

thanks everyone for the welcomes!

im firstly looking at some wheels which i wanna get,
MOTEGI MR109 17s?
Like i said, i want a simple, elegant look.

Also, i'm kinda bothered by the fact that my analog clock doesn't light up cause i cant see it at night so hopefully i can find a way to get an LED light in there or something?

18's and 19's tend to look alot better on these cars than 17's. That's a bigger purchase (for many of us) so look around first at what some other members have on their G's.

If your clock light is out, you can either buy a new one (they have white faced ones as well) or pull it out and solder on a new LED. Yes, there are DIY's for how to remove the clock and how to replace the LEDS. But be forewarned, replacing the clock LED yourself could lead to one of the most involved mods anyone has done here (replacing all the amber LEDs in the car).

i wasnt sure if it was supposed to be lit or if all Gs came like this

link on the DIY please?

I was thinking of adding some LEDs to the footwells actually. Prob amber to match the dashboard.

Welcome

Good to see another high-mi 03 around. I'm only 3,000 mi behind you

You're on-point with the type of modding that many do here. Most of the ones that "scream body kit" are coupes, so there are actually several nice clean options for the Sedan.
Look for current pics of CandlestickPark (Kurookie front) and G35Papa (Hikkatadori front) and you'll see what I mean.

As for the wheels, the design looks pretty good, but they'll look sooooo much better in a 18 or 19. Aftermarket wheels that are the same size as the stock 17's never look elegant.

Oh yeah, and the last two posts aren't kidding, kiss your wallet goodbye, because this site will give you the mod-bug BAAAAAD!

best advice given on this site. it's a bug. i mean, i'm just getting started and i haven't sunk nearly as much money into my car as some of the other people here. which is what is scary: the possibilities of what you can do with your G.

welcome.
