you can get 3M adhesive remover at most auto part stores in the paint section. It also works wonders on stains on your interior cloth, it evaporates dirt. But any bug and tar remover will do. Personally I use blazing hot water and car wash came off like butta

Use some dental floss or fishing line to saw through a bit of the glue, as close to the paint as possible, then rip the emblem off and saw where needed.
Once you have the emblem off, use Goo Gone to soften the rest of the glue. Use an old library card or expired credit card to scrape off most of the remaining glue - Do not use your finger nails!
Use a rag and Goo Gone to get rid of the remaining residue.
Wash the car! At least where you applied Goo Gone.
Adhesive remover is a better option though...

I just pulled the Infiniti letters off with my fingers, then the G35 was thick enough to carefully grab with a pair of side cutters then rolled the adhesive off

I just did this last week, if you dont have a heat gun, just make sure the sun is hitting the trunk for a while.
i started around noon and it was maybe 70-75 degrees outside. Used fishing line to saw the letters off, then soaked the adhesive with goo gone waited about 5 minutes and used a credit card to scrape some of the adhesive off, then repeated. ( an no the credit card didnt scratch the paint)

but i got most of it off and tomorrow i will try the goo gone to remove the extras, do you guys think its safe if the surface is hot and i put goo gone?
It's function is used as a lubricant:
