debading w/ no heat gun?
i was reading on this and it seems the easiest way is the heat gun, i dont have one so thats out of the question.
but i also read that the tar remover thing works good too, anyone have any insight on this? or other method besides heat gun.
thanks

The best heat gun I used was my GF's hairdryer. You don't need crazy amounts of heat that a heat gun puts out just to soften the glue. Soak the badge in goo gone, zap it with the hairdryer and pull. Easy as that. When removing the foam adhesive, just use the same steps little by little until you get it all off.
If you dont have access to a heatgun or hairdryer, you can just leave your car out in the sun on a warm sunny day... it will heat up the trunk enough to get the adhesive pliable... goo gone and floss/fishing line to get the badge off and work the remaining adhesive off by hand...

used a flathead screwdriver covered with a rag to pry them off, a credit card to scrape off excess adhesive and goo-gone to finish and mine turned out great. done two cars that way with no problems..
It's really simple. On the spur of the moment I just ripped the Mt.Fuji off the back of my car 2 days ago. I grabbed floss from my purse and the bug tar remover from my trunk and 30 mins later, voila!
