^Heh. No joke. It's really starting to look one-sided.

If you get the 35 series tires you will definitely want to go lower. If you are set on staying on a Z suspension for a while then go with the 40 series.

I think Don@TireOption can get them for you.

I got mine locally here in CA at a place called The Tire Store. Their number is (661) 945 1833

Give them a call. They might be able to get them drop shipped to you.

I have the V12's and they handle amazing. I put a beating on them and they take it like a champ. Im currently at 11K on them and they still have about 55% of the tread left and thats with me driving hard.

Honestly look around at local shops. They might be able to get them for you.

And make sure to tell them that you KNOW you can get them for $800 mounted and balanced.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Here's my input you fvckin n00b. First of all definitely go with the 40 series. You will HATE the look if you get 245/35 all around and you don't like wheel gap. Like Marcus said, they would be OK if you are going lower.

As far as brand, I would completely agree with this guy^^. The Vredesteins are a superior tire for the price over either of your choices and the other moderately priced UHP summer tires: Falken, Kuhmo, etc. The grip on them is incredible, they handle great, and they look really badazz. For me the issue is they are not available locally so the last time I bought tires I went with the Hankooks. They kick butt on the Falkens, Yokohama, and Kuhmos I have used in the past but I just keep getting this feeling that I need to go with the Vreds even with the potential downside of not being able to get them locally. I have ridden/driven a couple of cars with the Vredesteins and they are an amazing tire.

Hope this helps BTW why didn't you look at the Nittos in 245/40? Do they not come in that size?

IMHO, you reasons for going for each tire is for "gap" reasons and the choice inbetween the two sizes is merely availability?

How do the tires rate in a tire test? What you need the tire to do? Dry, Wet, noise, UTOG? Price?

Those reasons override the size availability reasons for choosing either tire.

If it were me, I'd be looking at the Sumitomo HTR ZIII. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....Z3XL&tab=Specs
