A quick question about stock body skirts!!!!

03 Sedan came with black side skirts (for the lack of a better therm), so the plastic part underneath the dors and the bumpers all around the car.
Anyway, it is getting faded, and it shows almost like gray instead of black, what kind of paint to I use to bring it's original look?

I hope I don't sound like a noob and you know what I am asking for....so it's the plastic part of the body underneath the doors, and it's not painted as the car is, it's just black plastic and I need to know what kind of paint or where to buy the paint to get it painted...

Thanks so much in advance and sorry for lack of knowledge lol!

Everyone who has painted their side skirts has complained that you cannot ever get them to match the factory paint. Why? Different texture, material etc. Save for new ones or an aftermarket kit IMO.

I call BS.

I had mine painted and the color match was spot on.

They are now sitting in the garage since I've gone with different rocker panels - and my car is no longer DG... but I can assure you they will match a DG.

Here's an old pic:

I have plenty more pics....

thats the reflection playing tricks on you but i can tell perfectly. Shows how shiney and reflective the paint that it blends in with the actual gravel

Dude. Just have them painted to match your car. Looks 1000x better.
Bare plastic body panels belong on a Honda Element, not a G35.
I had mine done, and the match isn't quite 110% perfect, but it's very very close. And IP is one of the hardest colors to match anyway. Also, this pic was taken right after it was done. Now that the paint has cured, it's closer.

The paint match will all depend on how its prepped, if a flex agent was used or not, primers, sealers,etc..Paints on plastics are hard to match vs on metal, not to say that it cant be done. They can be 100% match just depends how its done & if the person has the experience in painting or not...

Also depends on your color. IP, EM and CB are all hard to match. OB is easy and BS isn't too bad. What color is yours?

Has anyone done this to a GF sedan.. I have an 04 and really want to tackle this soon. And if I were to paint sides and back bumper what is a good option for the front...the black trim up front is pretty tore up... maybe new bumper??
