Do you have Navi? I set the maintenance reminder for 3000 miles so when that time comes the navi will alert me that it's time to change the oil and/or filter.

I don't think oil pressure gauges show you the level of your oil, just that whatever oil you have left is running at the correct pressure. Just check it every thousand miles or so. Takes 30 seconds to do.

No, an oil pressure gaune won't tell you when you're oil is low.

You'd have to get a low oil level switch, and drill and tap the oil pan. When you run low, the switch opens and an LED will light up alerting you to low oil. All this is custom though...no kits for that but if you know wiring it can be done easily if you want to pull your pan off.

If you are using oil...get in the habit of checking your oil level every time you go to the gas station. Or hit the trip reset button and let it count to 1500...we do have two tripometers. There's no easier way that that.

Oil gauges show pressure not levels, rather than spend $ on something you probably won't use anyway check your oil level weekly via the dip stick.

Haha, true. That dipstick sucks. It only takes me a second though as long as I have a light so I can see what I'm doing.

Do you punch the gas a lot and reach high RPM? Could be burning some oil up if that's happening. I know i am guilty of that, and need to add a little oil between changes. Also, i think using different weights of oil could cause problems such as this, so make sure to always use the weight specified--no matter the season.
