E-Pinions on an Idea..

'04 Sedan...

Would it look odd to run a KuRookie front with painted lower sills all around (w/ OEM front/rear mudlflaps). Running OEM Rays as well. Still deciding between KuRook or Nismo front. Doing the body in stages to spread out cost.

Just dont want it to look out of place.

I think it will look good if your lowers painted. I ran the KuRookie for a while with stock sides and mudguards. What are your future plans for sides and rear?

Any pics w/ the Rookie front and stock sides? If I get the front, the painted lowers sills are a must. I may have a line on DG Nismo sides, but no plans for the rear lip yet. So...it could go Rookie or Nismo Front, Nismo sides and painted lower rear sill. Would need to price out the painting for the front and rear if I cannot find a DG front.

here are pics of Kurookie with OEM sides painted - I was going to use the OEM mud guards (molded or something) but went a different direction with the body work... I have OEM mud guards, fronts shaved down some for clearance when lowered and painted DG at the same time as the sides - I still have the sides too... painted mud guards have never been on the car and the sides very limited (so hardly any miles since painted) - I'll sell if you are interested (that way you dont have to paint yours).

I can dig up more pics if you want...

I'm not a huge fan of having the Kurookie on with regular 03/04 sides, because it hangs a lot lower and looks kinda weird.
The splashguards help though.

I've also seen somebody (can't remember who ) trim a little off the bottom of the oem splashguards so they didn't scrape.

It would be nice if somebody figured out a way to retrofit coupe or 05/06 rear splashguards to the front wheel well. They look a lot better IMO.

still playing around with combos. Hikka/Nismo front is an option. Trying not to kill my bank account.

Not sure how much I like the painted OEM rear with the Rookie. The front bumper flares out a LOT more and is much deeper and makes the whole car unbalanced (nose heavy).

If it was my money and I was going with painted OEM sides/rear, I'd do a Hikkata. The Kurookie is a cool bumper skin, but it's just far too aggressive to keep everything else stock.

I agree (somewhat) - that's why the car didn't look like that for long - and of course looks totally different now.

There are options for those that want a different look.
