Coupe Midpipe, 350z Midpipe, 05.06 Sedan Midpipe...
What is the difference?

I will get one of these as I am going fo the famous purr that stock G35 coupes have.

ok so coupe middy is louder than 05/06 sedan middy

Is the 04/05 Sedan another step quieter?

Yes, but the 03/04 muffler itself is a bit smaller and therefore a bit louder.

.... so the 03/04 muffler is smaller which makes it louder? How does that make sense?

So just to clarify once more....

For Midpipe the following is quietest to loudest:
1. 03/04 Sedan Midpipe
2. 05/06 Sedan Midpipe
3 04-06 Coupe Midpipe
4. 350z Midpipe

Audiologically. Bigger muffler = more sound baffling = less noise (usually).

#3 & #4 are essentially the same, #4 has shorter piping to fit under a shorter car -- the 350z. Also, coupes from 03-07 have the same midpipe.

ok... so coupe midpipe it is.
Now onto Ypipe... there is the 350z one and the rest is aftermarket??

Is the 350pipe going to add any performance?

its going to give you a better sound like the coupes .. but you need the HR Y pipe
the one on the left is a sedan pipe and the right one is the HR Y pipe so you no the difference
