Normal G35s have the VQ35DE motor.
Those with revup (and newer model 350z) have the VQ35HR
That's where the HR comes from.
The HR y-pipe from the G37 isn't the same from my experience on the forums... it's slightly smaller diameter in some areas (can't remember).... and I'm not sure about this one.. so someone correct me if I'm wrong.. but just because a G coupe has the "rev up" motor... doensn't mean it has the HR y-pipe.. I think they refined it at a certain year

i see the difference. I get that but what I am trying to make sure since know one has truly clarified is... do previous year 03-8 G35 coupes THAT HAVE "Revup" HR Y-pipes direcly bolt onto 03/04 and 05/06 G35 RWD Sedans?
I also realize that it may be very hard to find them... so I was looking at the stilled, and would order the one for the 350z, correct, not the Coupe?

Just know this much.... Y-pipes are the exact same on the sedans, coupes, and the 350z. The X sedan is the only one that has troubles with some y-pipes

Basicly any G or Z from 2007 on up. It will be powered by either the HR35 or the HR37 motor. Both will have the same HR Y pipe you can use.
But the HR powered Z from 2007+ is probably the one to get. It's probably splitting hairs but it look like it's not slightly pinched down at the cats
