Headlight connector removal

I feel so dumb asking this question but here goes...

I am attempting to remove my headlights but for the life of me cannot get the connector off. Is the clip on the top side or bottom side? Space is really limited and I have tried over and over and nothing. If anyone has quick method to remove please let me know. Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. On the sides? I don't feel or see any clips on the sides but I do feel something on the bottom side. I'll go look again

The harness clip is in this picture right in front of the blue and red wires. Obviously not a G but it basically looks the same. Stick a flathead screwdriver in between the clip and gently wiggle out the harness. The wire harness side of it is surprisingly small, so make sure when you're pulling you actually have one hand on the wire harness (but NOT on the wire or else you'll rip) and the other hand on the big piece of plastic that it is attached to.

Sometimes if you're not careful both of your hands will be trying to pull apart the piece of plastic, because it's bigger and easier to hold onto, which obviously isn't going to do anything.

Good luck.

If you put a flat head screwdriver actually behind the whole plug, you can pry it off the headlight base and give yourself alot more room to unplug the harness.

On the sides??? WTH

Those aren't the clips, they are the sliders.

The clip is on the top, push it in with a screwdriver and pull the two apart.

Thank you all for your help. I may have explained myself incorrectly, which is why socialconflicts referred to the clips on the sides. I wasn't trying to remove the clips that secure the bulb, rather the connector to the headlight housing itself.

Tragedycat, that's exactly how I imagined the harness clip would look like. It would have been nice had Nissan placed the clip on the top side and not the bottom but it could be worse I suppose. Thanks the pic and the explanation. I will attempt with a short, flat screwdriver and try this again.

I was frustrated and the hot and humid weather where i live wasn't helping so I decided to reassemble. Shooting for success this weekend.
