there are 3 bolts on the midpipe that connect it to the muffler (only 2 nuts but there are 3 bolts on there) and then 3 more nuts above the tips and one on the drivers side of the muffler behind the tire

Been there, done that, didnt like it, and put it back on lol.

Lots of noise in cabin and loss of low end power atleast in my 05 thats what I felt.

Plus of course you have to pull it off the hangers (unless you remove the hangers) and like so many other things in life, a little lube goes a long way there.

You bastard, you edited your post before I had a chance to have fun with it. I already had a smart azz reply ready to go even before I opened the thread, but your edited post beat me to the punch. I guess great minds do think alike. Here is what I got in my e-mail notification:

Soak the rubber hangers with WD-40 so you can slide the metal hangers out easily!

Make sure you buy new bolts, you'll definitely strip them or brake them taking them out.

Pay a muffler shop to get it done, its a HUGE PITA. Especially since exhaust parts are frozen for the most part. It took me hours to replace my muffler... After that lesson I got my midpipe installed at shop for $40.
