quick question. is it easy to remove the muffler from a 04 sedan? is it just unbolt the screws and thats it? i need to take it out to fix something on it.
there are 3 bolts on the midpipe that connect it to the muffler (only 2 nuts but there are 3 bolts on there) and then 3 more nuts above the tips and one on the drivers side of the muffler behind the tire
yea just unbolt it.
and +1 on what toymachine2009 said. i had mine off for about 4 months. it definatly looses low end power. i didnt even notice that it did until i just put it back on. it has much more power now that its back on

Oh I know lol I could tell I lost SIGNIFICANT power I mean when I put it back I felt like its got its peppiness back and an instant gain for 15hp lol
haha yea i took my muffler off and put the 20s on at the same day. so i thought the 20s were just slowing me down. which they did. but not nearly as much as i thought

You bastard, you edited your post before I had a chance to have fun with it. I already had a smart azz reply ready to go even before I opened the thread, but your edited post beat me to the punch.
I guess great minds do think alike. Here is what I got in my e-mail notification:
Plus of course you have to pull it off the hangers (unless you remove the hangers) and a little silicone lube goes a long way there.
Pay a muffler shop to get it done, its a HUGE PITA. Especially since exhaust parts are frozen for the most part. It took me hours to replace my muffler... After that lesson I got my midpipe installed at shop for $40.
