The flanges will bolt up no matter what size but will most likely cause a leak if the difference in diameter is large i dont think it should with .35 but dont quote me on that. What you will notice is rasp though.

If you go from 3 inches to 2.35 inches and then back to 3 inches you will get rasp.
try to keep it in an ascending order like 2.25-2.45-2.75-3. etc.

Clearing the transfer case is a different story so far we only know of 1 y-pipe that clears it which is the HR. Ima be a guinea pig and try one the aftermarket ones i listed above.

awsome!!..let me know how it works out...just by the looks of it..it looks like it should clear it..i feel like any pipe for a car with a stock HR design should fit because by the looks its like the same dimensions jus better flow..im not really to worried about rasp..i jus want gains..im doing test pipes aswell nd a hks axle back..keeping the stock middy..i was thinking about doinG a straight middy but i dont want it too loud..with the test pipes new Y and hks axle back it will be loud enough for my taste..mayb a little too loud

^^ 350z Y-pipe from an 07/08 (HR) is the preferred OEM unit anyway. Slightly larger piping than the 370/G37 ones.

yeah, thanks for that, i was searching earlier and the g37 y pipe has smaller inlets than G35 ones.. i wish i would have found 350z HR ones, but i only find DE ones which are the same as g35 coupe if im not mistaking
