hey guys new member here and just thought i'd chime in
i use the Novus 1-2-3 when buffing out headlights. it's made for plastics and acrylic; i use it for my acrylic aquariums as well as my headlights. it works great! start out with #3 and work your way towards #1. i usually buy the whole set on ebay for about $20

I have been to dealer and he adviced on their restoration service, for $25. Being lazy *** , I had them do the job, with no/little results.
Then I have been to AAP and bought myself Turtle headlight lens restorer for $9 and worked on it. (Inclined to 3M but I dont have a rotary).
I have done for just 3 minutes on one of the lens and seee the pics below.
Note: i have just used lens clarifying compound on cotton cloth and bufed it with a terry cloth. Did not wet sand it, which is next step in the process, if the yellowing or cloudiness doesn't go away.
-- Probably, I need to work little more on the outer edges.
